Animal Health Clinic is owned and operated by Leldon Locke, D.V.M., a 1980 graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He owned veterinary practices in Missouri and Oklahoma prior to being able to move back closer to family in the Texoma area in 1994. Dr. Locke has practiced in Grayson County for the last 20+ years, at Animal Health Clinic since 2000.
Dr. Locke is experienced in a large area of general veterinary practice with special areas of interest including dermatology, allergic diseases, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. He and wife Mary Lynn enjoy multiple hobbies and interests. They currently have two dogs, Luke and Chuck.
Our staff is here to serve you as well as assist Dr. Locke. Technicians Emily and Megan, and kennel assistant Trevor, all wear many hats. When you come in you will be seeing the same people you talked to on the phone from the time you come in until the time you leave, allowing us to provide you with more personalized service. They are also the same people who take care of your beloved family member when you board them with us, so they know your pet personally, as well as any medical needs they may have.
Sterling was our clinic cat. She was found at the sanitation department in 2001 with both eyes traumatized and infected. Her right eye had to be removed but her left healed nicely. She was spayed, treated and ready to go to a new home, but we fell in love with her and decided to keep her as our own. She had been a fixture here ever since. Unfortunately, she passed away in February 2016, at the age of 15. She is missed greatly by all who knew her.
Scottie is our young clinic cat. Emily found him by the post office in the middle of the street on a very hot July day, when he was about 6 weeks old. The plan was to socialize him and find him a loving home, but…well, he makes us laugh!
